Food and Drink Review

The Farmer's Daughter

Written by

The Farmer's Daughter opened in the fall of 2013 in a previously abandoned gas-station next to the Tremont Tavern (which serves up some of the best burgers in town). It's family run, the food is sourced from local farms, and the art comes from local artists.

It is a farm-to-table cafe in the bungalow-strewn hills of North Chattanooga, featuring a simple breakfast and lunch menu. Ann Keener, the restaurant's owner and chef, sources the most local ingredients she can find. They've also partnered with Copacetic Coffee, a coffee bar run by one of the best roasters in the Southeast, Velo Coffee

The sausage-egg biscuit is to die for! The drip coffee with thick cream from Sequatchie Cove Farm is arguably the best in the city, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and open.
