Whether it’s because Austin is known as a college town or a hippie town or just a cool town, there are multiple reasons why lots of people are into disc golf here. So it’s a good thing Austin has several good disc golf courses scattered around the area.
Pease Park is known as perhaps the original, legendary disc golf course in Austin, dating back decades. The course at this central Austin park is classic, and its old catchers and other outdated equipment contribute to that feel, so just have fun and don’t take yourself so seriously here, man—it’s the old Austin way.
For more modern facilities, check out Roy G. Guerrero Park and Searight Park, both of which offer great challenges and great fun. And for a course with a higher level of difficulty, head out to the suburban Circle C Ranch Park and play the hilly course there. All of these disc golf courses are beautiful and each has its own different taste of Austin.
