Austin City Parks

Famed as Austin’s most difficult mountain biking trail, the Emma Long/City Park course is a 5.3 mile loop of the most technical, high skill riding found in the Austin area.

What Makes It Great

The terrain and obstacles here are intentionally difficult: tough rock drops, logs, narrow singletrack, and more. If you're a seasoned rider, it's a great playground. Beginners will likely spend too much time walking their bikes to enjoy the park.

Who is Going to Love It

The trail is certainly not designed for beginners, and even the most adept riders will improve their handling by taking on this trail. Please note that the course also serves as a dirt bike trail – yield to dirt bikes as they come up fast and will not hear or see you.

Directions, Parking, & Regulations

The given address is not the site of the more popular lake front park, so follow the directions off City Park Road onto Oak Shores Drive to get to the trails. Stay on City Park Road to get to the swimming and camping areas of Emma Long/City Park – entrance fees apply. $5 Monday-Thursday. $10 Friday-Sunday.
