Review

Most known for the for the finish line of the famous Ski to Sea race every year, Marine Park is an ideal launch site for kayakers and paddleboarders. The waterfront grass park is almost 2 acres large, includes picnic tables, and has a wide beach bordered by some fun rocks where you can look for interesting sea-life. The beach is easy for carrying kayaks, has a gentle slope, and a smooth entrance into the water. Paddleboarders use Marine Park as a launching point to paddle south along the coast and train track line.
There is a large amount of free parking right next to the launch site, allowing easy loading and unloading. The proximity to downtown Fairhaven make it a great spot to finish up for the day and grab some food.
Getting There: From downtown Bellingham, head south on South State Street. As you enter the Fairhaven District, take the right turn onto Harris, west, toward the water. Follow Harris past the Ferry Building and veer left into the parking lot at the end.
