This breakfast joint will soon become your best friend. Serving meals in the small cast-iron skillets they were individually cooked in, Homeskillet is a local hot spot. Very reasonably priced for the quality of breakfast you'll be eating, the portions are also pretty large. The personal skillets are piled high with eggs, potatoes, and whatever else you choose. The Meaty Skillet is especially good. Breakfast is served all day, Tuesday through Sunday. Lunch is served all day Tuesday through Friday. Closed Sunday.
Homeskillet is quite small, giving it a very homey feel. There is one cook (yes, one cook). No reservations, first come first serve. You'll get to know your neighbors well, and there isn't room for parties larger than 6 (though we've seen them make do). It is highly suggested you wake up and get there somewhat early on a weekend, and beat the rush, as waits can be quite long. But it's well worth it, very well worth it.
The Cure Burrito is a delicious (and huge) breakfast burrito filled with all of your favorites: eggs, potatoes, cheese, meat, gravy, etc. The pulled pork tater tot hash and eggs is to die for. And the Homeskillet Poutine is a lesson in indulgence. Not to mention, they also have a couple of unbeatable sweet tooth plates like pancakes with real maple syrup and cinnamon roll French toast.
The inside and outside of Homeskillet are painted and decorated in a fun, spunky, and eccentric way.... perfect for Bellingham.
