Spacious and bright, Flying M is frequently buzzing with the hum of students and business folk who work, get caffeinated, and meet at the clustered tables inside. The friendly but not overly exuberant (not a bad thing) staff make a consistently delicious Americano and whipped cream topped mocha. In addition to the bean-derived beverage, they serve a wide variety of other beverages including delicious fresh-squeezed OJ and kombucha.
While their menu isn’t endless, the baked treats behind the display case window are tasty and satisfy a study or work-induced hunger.
The vibe of Flying M is bright and bustling. It’s also amusingly quirky, a characteristic created in part by the unique art on the walls and the fun and often tongue-in-cheek books, gifts and cards for sale in the gift shop as well as the random old phone booth room that is now a kids play area. The cafe also participates in Boise's monthly First Thursday Art Walk. There is a second location in Nampa that serves up the same delicious brew and frequently hosts live music too.
