Boise River Park

Just minutes from downtown and around the corner from Quinn’s Pond and Idaho River Sports, the River Park is one of Boise’s newest, most exciting recreational attractions. Part of Boise’s master River Park plan, the wave was completed during phase one of the rehabilitation on this stretch of the river.

What Makes It Great

Ample shoreline above and below the wave and a ramp just east of the wave provide comfortable staging space and ease of entry into the water. Used by kayakers, surfers and body boarders, the park attracts not only those inclined to get in the water, but also plenty of spectators.

Benches and an observation area make it easy to view the action in the water.

Who is Going to Love It

Hydraulic flashboards adjust for changes in water volume making this “park and play” wave a perfect playground for practicing rolls and other safety skills, and for mastering aerial techniques too.

Directions, Parking, & Regulations
