Located just up the road in Nederland, Kathmandu does Nepalese and Indian food right. While they offer both meat and vegetarian dishes, even carnivores are going to love the meat-free meals such as Aloo Gobi and Tofu Masala. Because they are located en route to the Indian Peaks, they make a good post-hike meal destination but you wouldn’t be alone if you drove up from Boulder just to enjoy the atmosphere and excellent food.
The Lunch Buffet is served daily from 11-3 and Fridays 5-close, and is $9.95 -- a great deal, considering the variety (and quality) of the food. Our advice: sneak a day off of work on Friday, get in a hike then indulge in the evening buffet at Kathmandu -- and go home happy!
