Sullivans Island is known for its slow, always-on-vacation way of life. A bike ride up and down its streets is one of the more relaxing things you and your family can do while in Charleston. Rent a couple of beach cruisers and explore the paved roads of Sullivan’s from Fort Moultrie to the West, and Isle of Palms to the East. You will pass pleasant vacation homes and stunning views of the beach from each street (or station as the locals call them). Perhaps the best part about Sullys is that the only commercial buildings on the island are a few great pubs and a bar-b-q restaurant. You can always choose to coast the beach as well on Sullivans. There are beach entries open to the public at the end of almost every other station.
