Review

Cheraw State Park is considered one of the best single tracks in the whole state of South Carolina. At 9 miles long, you will find everything that makes a fast paced ride enjoyable: tight turns, down hills, and continuity that allows you to maintain an enjoyable pace all day. The trail surface is mostly sand, so keep this in mind before you make the trip. Although most mountain bikers in the area say it is a great ride no matter when you go, the fact remains, after a rain the sand will be more compact and easier to ride, and after a drought the sand will be loose with a tendency to send you flying off the trail. It is well marked, and there will more than likely be some other bikers along the trail. This single track is fun for beginners and lifetime riders, and by far the best track in the area.
