Claude & Uli’s is a French restaurant -- French and crazy delicious. Claude has brought his favorite recipes to humble Hilton Head Island after serving in kitchens located across the globe, including San Francisco, Paris, and London. Why did he choose to settle down in HHI? We’re not totally sure, but very glad he did. Claude and Uli’s boasts substantial menus for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Who’s Going to Love It Favorite dishes among the locals include the crab cake dinner, the duck breast sauteed in butter, the wiener schnitzel (or breaded scallopini), and beef bourguignon (beef braised in red wine sauce). They’ll even make you an Eiffel Tower out of a banana and berries if you ask them...we’re all about eating creatively!
What Makes it Great Hilton Head is in no shortage of dining establishments. The trick is find a restaurant that is not a tourist trap and serves delicious food that you can’t find just anywhere. Every other person will tell you to go to the closest seafood restaurant on the island and that’s good advice. The majority of seafood restaurants on the island serve up fresh local fish and shellfish, but if you want a true dining experience combining seafood with a killer french twist, head to Claude and Uli’s bistro. Their menu is gold, the atmosphere is relaxed and not what you’d expect of a higher end french restaurant, and most importantly, the food is damn good.
Directions/Regulations Claude and Uli’s Bistro is located right over the bridge from Hilton Head, and it’s a stone’s throw away from Pinckney National Wildlife Refuge. So fuel up with a tasty french cuisine breakfast, load the kayaks up, and hit the water after you’ve had your fill. No one is going to judge you if you come back to Claude and Uli’s after you’re done paddling around either, so don’t be shy.
