The Fox River Trail is one of the most popular spots for athletes outside of the Lakefront Path in Chicago. The Arcedium is just off the path in St. Charles, Ill., and has been named the best coffee house by West Suburban magazine. What else can a caffeine-starved athlete need?

For coffee snobs, the Arcedium delivers the goods by roasting their beans in-house, and will even siphon-brew coffee during certain hours. For those who just want a good cup of coffee in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, the Arcedium has you covered as well. The place also serves breakfast, plus sandwiches for lunch. And of course there are plenty of baked goods to choose from anytime.

There’s even a meeting room that can be reserved. Out on a bike ride along the Fox River, you won't find a better place to stop for a quick bite and a cup of Joe.
