Review

Garden of the Gods is a truly classic climbing destination in the Springs, and it's one of the oldest technical climbing areas in the country. The massive red sandstone spires and formations are beautiful to look at and extremely fun to climb. There are roughly 250-routes from which to choose from and the quintessential options include Montezuma's Tower, Three Graces, Kindergarten Rock, and North and South Gateway. All climbers and boulderers must obtain a free permit from the Garden of the Gods visitor center prior to climbing. Entrance to the park is free and access to the routes is easy. Warning: The sandstone can be slick with loose grains of sand, especially after rainstorms. Park hours: 8am to 8pm Memorial Day - Labor Day, 9am to 5pm Labor Day - Memorial Day
