The Sloan's Lake path and park is pretty much the best thing going for runners west of town.
What Makes It Great
For those in the Highlands area and of course the Sloan Lake neighborhood, this is the go-to spot. If you’ve already explored the grand semi-urban parks and paths east of Denver, you’re ready to venture slightly further and check out the heavenly suburban respite of Sloan Lake and its beautifully maintained facilities.
You’re likely to make friends here or you can take off with a buddy or a date, and explore another Denver-area gem where you can work as hard or as little as you need to.
Who is Going to Love It
This is really an ideal spot for any kind of runner, from those who want to walk or jog to those who want to bring along the canine or baby stroller. It’s scenic and meandering with no real change in elevation. You’ll have views of the mountains and pleasant surroundings in a 2.5-mile loop that can be repeated endlessly and run in either direction for variety.
