Review

Canyon Vista Campground is located just south of Flagstaff, along Lake Mary Road. Like many campgrounds in the area, this is car camping with vault toilets, drinking water, and fees. What sets this campground apart, however, is its small (just 11 spots) and easy access to some of the most varied activities Flagstaff has to offer. It's a 20-minute walk to The Pit, Flagstaff's most popular climbing spot; Sandys Canyon Trail starts from the campground and leads all the way to Fisher Point, Marshall Lake and beyond for some great mountain biking, running and hiking. The campground is also a popular place to park for road cyclists cruising down Lake Mary Road. For a short stay in the Flagstaff area, Canyon Vista is a great "sampler pack" of all Flagstaff has to offer.
