Sushi isn’t the typical apres ski food, but if there was a Lobby Lounge at the base of more ski areas, it would certainly become a favorite. In addition to the expected bar bites like chicken wings and burgers, the Lobby Lounge does sushi rolls, ceviche, sake, and sashimi. If there’s a better way to begin recovering from a full day on the slopes than the Snake River Wrangler roll—tempura shrimp, Dungeness crab, avocado, and cucumber topped with seared Snake River Farms American Wagyu beef and drizzled with truffle ponzu—we have yet to discover it. Although the Rainbow Over the Tetons roll—market fish, Dungeness crab, avocado, and cucumber— comes close. Early season--late November through mid-December--and late season--late March through early April--the Lobby Lounge's sushi is made affordable even for those on the most modest of budgets. They do a two for $22 special: 2 glass of wine and 2 rolls for $22. The rest of the year, rolls usually go for $22-$25 each.
