Intro
Morningside Park wouldn't necessarily be the first place I'd choose to get outdoors in Knoxville, but it definitely still has its perks nonetheless. First, there's an excellent disc golf course on site. It has eighteen holes and it's pretty well maintained. Second, there are really great primitive workout facilities, including pull-up bars, dip bars, and other outdoor exercise stations. So after your run or bike ride, you can extend your workout here and save a trip to the gym and its soul-sucking florescent lights.
What Makes It Great
This park is a good spot to run after work, but the best time will be had at the full 18-hole disc golf course. With a course map that wanders all around the park property, this is by far the largest place to play within Knoxville. The course map can be found here.
Knoxville prides itself on providing parks and recreation opportunities all over the city, and for people living in North Knoxville this park is a great option. Whether you're running on your own, playing a round of disc golf with your friends, or simply having you weekday lunch outside- this park has everything you could ask for.
Who is Going to Love It
Disc golf lovers, this park is yours. Most all of the traffic is going to be golfers, and for good reason.
