What Makes It Great

This trad climbing and bouldering spot is top Tahoe destination for rock climbers. It features a range of difficulty, making it a great sport for beginners or climbers who are ready to transition from the gym to some actual rocks. Pie Shop also is a great place for more experienced climbers, who will enjoy routes like Space Invaders, rated at 5.12a. This spot features mostly single pitch climbs and bouldering routes on the rough granite that the Sierra region is known for.

Named after a long gone bakery that used to sit near this site, one of the main highlights of this climbing area is its proximity to town and ease of access. The approach is a short one. From the parking area, follow the trail past many bouldering spots and through manzanita trees. The first trad spot you will come to is Lunch Rock.
