Marina del Rey is an unincorporated seaside community in Los Angeles built around the world's largest man-made small craft harbor. The harbor is one of the most picturesque places in all of Los Angeles and has been considered one of LA County's "most valuable resources."
What Makes It Great
The harbor provides a serene flat-water setting where beginners can safely learn to Stand Up Paddleboard. While playing on the water, take in the views of harbor sea life (which includes over 5,000 world-class yachts and sailboats). There are several places to rent stand up paddleboards in the marina if you do not have your own, but if you do there is a boat ramp with a $7 launch fee. Marina del Rey is a must go-to place to Stand Up Paddleboard for anyone visiting Los Angeles!
Who is Going to Love It
This is a great place to paddle for all levels. Between the beauty of the sea and the developed coastline, there's quite a bit to see. A tour from Marina del Ray showcases some of the most beautiful California settings anywhere.
