    For the seasoned cyclist, this route will take about 3.5 hours. For those who want to enjoy the scenery and take things at a slower pace, 4.5 hours is suggested.

    If riding from Madison, to the Illinois border and back, give yourself seven to eight hours to complete the round trip with a couple brief stops. If only going to the tunnel and back, it should take you less than four hours.
  7. Experience all the Madison area has to offer with very little traffic. This route will bring you South of the city where you will ride through prairies and next to Lake Monona.

    In almost all conditions, except winter, this trail is well maintained and even during rush hour, there is very little traffic to slow you down since it has bridges over the major roads.
