Review

Double black diamond hard mountain biking in gorgeous scenery above the Colorado River on the Amasa Mesa. There are several optional sections, though the riding is geared towards intermediate and advanced riders. The really tricky stuff may be walked to bypass.

What Makes it Great This area used to have mountain bikers sharing routes with 4x4s, now, a network of trails separate the two.

Who is Going to Love It This trail is 9.4 miles of hard riding. Excellently laid out and marked trails through incredible scenery with river views and the option to ride connecting trails out to the Amasa Back.

Directions, Parking & Fees From Moab’s main road, head south, take a right on Kane Creek road (between the Burger King and McDonalds. After almost a mile bear left at the junction on 500 West. The pavement ends in 4-miles and there is a parking lot there, or you can ride all the way from town. Ride from the end of the pavement (there is some parking along the way) 1.2 miles and turn onto a rough 4x4 road heading towards the creek. There are no fees. You should also leave your dog at home.
