For all Nashville’s waterways, the waterfront dining is limited, and honestly, not about the food as much as it is about the views. That said, after you’ve had a day on the water, there’s nothing quite like settling back for tasty meal, a frozen drink (or a cold beer) and a peaceful waterfront sunset. Shipwreck Cove at the popular Elm Hill Marina is as good a place as any to do this. Park the paddleboard or the kayak and belly up to the bar. The menu includes all the classic waterside dishes—from burgers to fried foods to Cajun-spiced specials. There are occasional group events here, such as Thursday night post-paddling Happy Hours, in the Summer.
Parking is pay-only, reserved for members of the marina who have slips for the season. You may not park in this area, even if you are renting a boat (signage is not always clear, but you will get towed). Just one-quarter mile south on Bell Road is a launch for non-members. It is also a pay lot, with plenty of room for parking and ample room at the boat launches.
