East Nashvillians used to clamor to this small, limited menu eatery for its couscous, sandwiches and other fresh dishes. But word of this little lunch and dinner spot got out, and now neighborhood folks wait with people from all over the city for a coveted table.
What Makes It Great
There’s a communal table where you can get to know other diners, as well as a counter and a few small tables. Reservations are accepted, but even then sometimes there’s a wait. It is worth it, with great salads and other dishes that can be either vegetarian or satisfy meat-lovers. The rosemary-infused lemonade is a must drink after a long ride or run.
Who is Going to Love It
Anyone with a big appetite for a great meal.
Directions, Parking, & Regulations
Silly Goose now shares a parking lot with Cumberland Transit and Climb Nashville, adding to its perfect fit for urban outdoor types. And, if you want to splurge, another bonus of Silly Goose’s location is that it is next door to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, an Ohio-based gourmet ice cream shop with lines no matter the season. Good for neighborhood residents, not so much for parking. There's a lower gravel lot with more spots, but it is not well-lit at night.
