Lake Wintergreen is a beautiful lake with calm 44-arces of waters that provides a scenic day that is perfect for those who would love to pick up a new hobby such as Kayaking without feeling the fear or pressure of having to be an expert.

    It takes about 30 to 50 minutes to circuit around Lake Wintergreen depending on weather conditions and your paddle speed. If you are a beginner the travel time would depend also on your abilities. Each person is unique to their experience on Lake Wintergreen, however, the lake is great for both experts and learners.

  8. When launching your kayak into Lake Zoar the atmosphere is still and quiet. The water gives of a blueish green appearance depending on the weather. On clear days one can see about 7 to 8 feet into the water. Underneath your Kayak you can see large boulders, rocks, tree branches that have ended up deep into the water, and fish. The lake makes each paddle stroke easy and light.
