Mamouns is typically considered as a good late night snack after going out on a Friday night. Although the hours (11am – 3am, 7 days a week) make it convenient as a good stop after the bar, the food is great for any time of day. This Middle Eastern restaurant has four locations, first opening in New York City decades ago. Their staple dish is their falafel. It's the best falafel around, in my opinion, served both as a plate ($6.50) and as a sandwich (only $3.50) as most of their dishes are. My newest discovery is the Ful Mudammas ($5.95), which is a fava bean dish with garlic, parsley, lemon juice, tomatoes, oil and spices with optional tahineh sauce, served with pitas. It's perfect for sharing. Although, you better be ready to get a little messy dipping those pitas! I suggest going for a late lunch when it's not too busy. And bring cash! Mamouns is very reasonably priced but their credit card minimums are fairly high. They do have an ATM outside in case you get stuck, though.
