Obviously, NYC has some amazing food and drink options, no matter what you're in the mood for. Tapas for two after couples kayaking? Not a problem. Coffee and a scone mid-ride? You bet. Fabulous brunch for your running club? Right over in Brooklyn, in that tiny dining car you may mistake for a shut-down restaurant, book a table at The Diner. Best Bloody Marys around, and the blueberry pancakes? Delicious.
If you're a cyclist who loves his or her coffee, there's no end to your options, but two standouts include the Rapha Cycle Club, where you can get a scone and a latte while checking out the latest in expensive cycling apparel or hook up with a group ride, and the slightly more punk-rock Red Lantern Coffee and Bike Shop, where you can get your bike fixed, grab an espresso or a local beer, plus a sandwich while you wait.
For a fast fix, if you're on the Hudson River Greenway riding, running, SUP-ing or kayaking, Wichcraft is a great sandwich shop with fresh ingredients, excellent coffees and juices, and grew outdoor seating if you want to eat and people-watch.
If you want to feel like a kid again, check out the Coney Island Boardwalk after a run on the boardwalk (or a surf at Rockaway).
