Intro

Ski Utah’s Interconnect Tour is a way for advanced to expert skiers to explore the Wasatch backcountry. With guides, skiers visit up to six resorts in one day and tackle backcountry skiing not available through the resorts. With this program, skiers are able to experience the incredible beauty of Utah’s backcountry with the aid of two experienced guides that are familiar with the area and trained in both backcountry etiquette and snow safety.

What Makes It Great

The Interconnect Tour is a one day guided ski featuring six of Utah’s resorts and some of the choicest backcountry routes in between. Under the supervision and expertise of Ski Utah’s certified crew of backcountry guides, this is the only time you’ll have permission to duck ropes between the resort boundaries and not get arrested (this is actually quite serious: don’t even think about it on your own).

The route may vary depending on conditions, but here’s a sample of what you can expect: Starting at Deer Valley Resort, you’ll make your way to Park City Mountain Resort, onwards and upwards to Park City Mountain’s Jupiter Peak, then go “back door” after you and your guides check in with the ski patrol. You’ll sample some sweet powder stashes on your way to Solitude. From Solitude, on to Brighton, then Alta, and somewhere in there will be a hearty lunch to keep you fueled for the afternoon stretch.

Finally, the last top-to-bottom run will be from Snowbird’s Hidden Peak to the base, where a Ski Utah shuttle will gather up you and your gear and whisk you back to Park City. It’s not for beginners, in fact Ski Utah requires skiers to be advanced to expert, in good physical condition, because besides all the skiing, you’ll be hiking and traversing. Safety equipment is provided. You’ll see and ski the Wasatch like you never have before. This tour meets at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge, where plenty of Parking is available.

The tour described above is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. A more advanced tour departs and ends at Snowbird on Thursdays and Saturdays, which includes more hiking and sidestepping.

Who is Going to Love It
