The Nordic Center is located just behind Hotel Park City at the Park City Municipal Golf Course. The 20K of groomed trails include 3K, 5K, and 10K+ loops that cater perfectly to beginner, intermediate, and expert skiers in both length and terrain.
What Makes It Great
The 3K and 5K loops are located south of the McPolin Farm on the Park City Municipal Golf Course. The 3K loop is nearly flat and allows beginners to focus on developing basic techniques. The 5K loop includes a few short hills, providing a bit of variation to challenge intermediate skiers and push the learning curve. The golf course area butts up against the mountains and offers spectacular views.
The 10K loop is located just to the north of the other two loops on McPolin Farm. Longer hills and more challenging turns set this loop apart from the other two. The advanced skate or classic skier can get a great workout on the 10K loop and have an absolute blast doing it. While there are plenty of groomed multi-use areas in Park City for hikers, snowshoers, and snow-bikers to enjoy, the White Pine Nordic Center is for cross-country skiers only. This means that skiers of all ability types can focus on honing their technique on pristine groomers without distraction. The Nordic Center also has rental equipment on hand, so you don’t even have to worry about transporting rentals from a shop to the ski area. Instructors are also available. Book a lesson in advance and a trained pro will take you from zero to hero in no time.
Who is Going to Love It
Everyone from first-timers to seasoned cross-country pros will appreciate the separate loops of varied difficulty. Confidence-inspiring terrain, high-quality rental equipment, and the knowledgeable White Pine Touring staff all come together to make the Nordic Center experience a positive one for skiers of every ability.
Directions, Parking, & Regulations
There’s plenty of parking at the Nordic Center. Even better, the parking is underground and it’s heated! Just pull into the underground parking area at the Hotel Park City on Thaynes Canyon Rd., pull up to the door on the right, and the door will open automatically to let you in. Other parking is available on the right, just past Meadows Dr., across Highway 224 from the farm.
A full day’s use of the groomed area is $18. There are additional charges for lessons and rental equipment.
