Norristown Farm Park

Norristown Farm Park is working farm that has been around running since the colonial times, and has about 15 historic buildings on the property. It has miles of paved trails that people are free to run on. There are not many places where you can run on a paved trail through a working farm, making these trails completely different from what people are use to. It is also in a beautiful chunk of land that is home to tons of animals, plants and birds.

What Makes It Great

The best part about the trails in Norristown Farm Park is that they are paved (and flat!). This is very unique considering the trails run through a working farm that has been running since the colonial times.

The 8 miles of trails are great to get faster run if you are running a lot of miles or you could use as your long run. The trail system run throughout the property that is 690 acres that is also home to tons of animals, birds and plants. This makes for a beautiful running in the warmer months.

The trails are also used by walkers, hikers and bikers. Norristown Farm Park makes for a cool place to run and you can also see some historic sight of local Philadelphia. You can also fish or picnic in the park.

Who is Going to Love It

The people who love running at Norristown Farm Park on the paved trails are usually people who are newer to running. These trails are not very difficult and with it only being 8 miles long it does not have a lot to offer for the most experienced runners. The trails are better for people who have not had a large exposure to running.
