Where else can you find a French bakery that actually uses clay from France to make their firebrick oven? Saint Honore is an absolute must visit when in Portland.

St. Honoré offers coffee, soups, pastries, breads, sandwiches, salads, and more. There are no big cooking stoves at St. Honoré. Instead, hot menu items are made from scratch, by using their one and only bread oven. This oven is a firebrick oven that is typical of old-world traditional French baking. The clay used to make the brick even comes from a small town in the Rhone Valley of France, so you know St. Honoré means business. You simply can't find this level of authenticity anywhere else in the Portland area. The end result of this sublime attention to detail is food that contains true depth of flavor and honest richness.
