Review

Approximately 25K of trail groomed on a regular basis for classic and skate skiing can be found within the 700-acre, Round Valley Open Space. Along with skiers, you're likely to see dog walkers, joggers, snowshoers and snow bikers, recreating together on the Round Valley trail system. Yearly events such as the Round Valley Round Up Nordic Race and The Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog race are also held in Round Valley. This is a huge open space, loved by locals and easily accessible from downtown Park City. Round Valley is skiable at night, and ambitious, early morning skiers may get lucky with cougar or elk sightings. At 7,200 feet, the high point of Round Valley provides stunning 360 degree panoramas of the Wasatch range, but will make for thinner air for those not used to it.   There are 5 different entrances and numerous loops, but I recommend starting at Quinn's Junction Trailhead. It's just east of town on the bus line with bathrooms, an information kiosk, and maps. This trail system is also home to the round valley roundup so be sure to keep updated on events taking place on these trails.   PDF Map of Round Valley
