The Noble Canyon trail is a 14-mile round trip route that takes you through alpine meadows, chaparral, and arid desert. It's a very technical ride with narrow single track, tight switchbacks, and steep drop offs.
What Makes It Great
First off, the area is absolutely beautiful. The diverse ecosystems already mentioned provide a level of variety that you won't find elsewhere, and there are also some pretty stunning views of the surrounding area. In fact, the increasingly popular Pacific Crest Trail is located only a couple hundred yards from the upper trailhead, so that's worth checking out.
Secondly, the ride is fun! Simple as that. Yes, it's challenging in some parts, but once you start trusting the trail, you can really let loose and have a great time. You can even drive to the top and make your ride solely downhill. Or you can connect however many of the other nearby trails as you want to. Whatever you choose, you'll definitely enjoy your time on the Noble Canyon Trail.
Who is Going to Love It
Noble Canyon is probably out of the realm of the beginner and should only be attempted by more experienced riders. For those lucky enough to already have mountain biking experience, this route is definitely going to impress you.
