Intro

Point Reyes National Seashore offers hike-in camping at four campgrounds. Each one offers a different environment.

What Makes It Great

Coast Camp is located just 200 yards from the trailhead in a valley close to the beach and tide pools. Wildcat Camp can be found on a wide-open meadow overlooking the Pacific Ocean. From Wildcat take the short 2-mile loop to Alamere Falls- a moderately challenging 4.5-mile hike that takes you to a secluded valley at Glen Camp. The last option, Sky Camp, is located on the western side of Mt. Wittenberg. It’s a short but uphill 1.4-mile hike to the campsites. The reward is spectacular views of Point Reyes, Drakes Bay and the Pacific Ocean. All four have water faucets and vault toilets.

Who is Going to Love It

All the campsites offer incredible ocean views and wonderful seaside flora and avian activity. The campgrounds are relatively easy to reach and should be suitable for all levels of hikers.
