It’s easy to spend the entire day at Castle Rock enjoying the many bouldering routes. Climbers who have honed their skills at an indoor gym can experience Mother Nature here without too many problems.

What Makes It Great

Surrounded by a serene, scenic forest, the bouldering here is considered world class and often used as a type of school for those taking their skills from indoors to outdoors.  Challenge yourself on dozens of big rocks just a short walk from the parking lot. Add boulders with funky names like Parking Lot Rocks, Beak, Spoon, Magoo's and Triangle to your climbing log. Once you’ve mastered these, hike a mile further for much more difficult options line Death Wish and Superman Was Out of Town.

Who is Going to Love It

There are a lot of problems between V1 - V3, so this is a great place for newer climbers to improve and experienced boulderers to dial in their finesse and form. There are also a good collection of routes from V4 - V7, so it's a great mix of challenges for all levels.
