The name says it all! The Inspiration Point hike gives you one of the best views overlooking Santa Barbara and the Channel Islands. It’s a good hike to bring out-of-towners to, since it is pretty straight forward and finishes with a spectacular view.
What Makes It Great
The name says it all. Hikers will be treated to incredible vistas of the landscape below throughout the hike, culminating with the very best views at the summit. It's not a very difficult hike, which makes it suitable for kids and casual hikers who want a good workout. Looking back at the snake-like ridge as it twists to the ocean is especially striking. For photographers who are up for the task, snapping a sunrise from the top of the trail is a feast of early morning colors.
Who is Going to Love It
It's a great hike for anyone who wants to be inspired! The views from the top really have to be seen in person. Even hikers used to more strenuous days out will enjoy a trip to Inspiration Point.
