There are 240 skiable acres at Snow Summit, with a total of 31 trails. About half of these are moderate level runs, but beginners and experts can also find trails to hit. Snow Summit features a freestyle park with a half pipe. There is also a family zone, which is perfect for beginners and younger shredders, and the mountain is lit for night skiing on weekends and holidays.
Lodging ranges from hotels and motels to condos and nearby rental homes. Downtown Big Bear has a host of restaurants and shops. There is a free shuttle between Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Lift tickets are valid at both resorts. Snow tubing and bobsledding are right down the road at Big Bear Snow Play and at Magic Mountain. Of note, in the summer, people flock to the hill for its stellar mountain biking.

It's also a fine family destination and there is enough expert terrain for those who want to push their skills. Night skiing is always a treat, especially on a snowy night!
Who is Going to Love It
Since the mountain caters to all levels, it's a win-win for all types of skiers and snowboarders. There isn't a whole lot of extreme terrain and nearby Bear Mountain is tops in terrain parks but Snow Summit will appeal to all around-ers who enjoy well designed trails.
