Review

Cafe Allegro is the oldest coffee house in Seattle. Opened in 1975 in the University District, this cozy coffee shop has been serving students, professors, locals, travelers, outdoor maniacs, and everyone in between for almost 40 years. With its ivy covered brick walls and living room-like interior, it's truly a must-visit destination for lovers of intimate cafes. The coffee is delicious. There's frequently live music. There's always new art adorning the walls. And the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. All of this makes for a very cool, comfortable neighborhood atmosphere. Whether you're in and out for a delicious espresso and pastry, or hanging out all day, Cafe Allegro should be at the top of your list for Seattle coffee shop destinations.
