2014 Hagg Lake Mud Run

It’s time to get muddy! The Hagg Lake Mud Run is one of the most popular ultras in the Northwest. The Oregon Road Runners Club race is part of the Oregon Trail Series, and is not your typical 5k fun run. You have to be a serious trail runner with a measurable amount of gumption to take a pass at a 25k, let alone 50k mud run. The event attracts runners from all over the nation and was featured in Runner’s World Trail Edition as one of the top trail races in Oregon.

The 25K consists of a short out-and-back along a gravel road and then makes one loop around beautiful Henry Hagg Lake. The 50K is a similar course except the out-and-back is slightly longer and you make two loops.

Expect shoes to look like this after the Hagg Lake 50K.

Note: There are still spots available for the 50K. The 25K has sold out but you can still sign up for the wait list and you will be notified if someone drops out. For more information, visit the website http://haggmud.com/
