A day isn’t enough for a visit to Deer Valley. Sure, you can take in a quick preview of the sights in a day, but it will just make you crave a longer visit. To really experience Deer Valley, you’ll need at least a week.

1. Hike and Bike to Your Heart’s Content
With 70 miles of mountain biking trails, and three lifts to help access them, bikers won’t get bored at Deer Valley. The mountain’s trails also connect to Park City’s 400-mile singletrack network, which was certified by the International Mountain Biking Association as the world’s only Gold-Level Ride Center.
Rent a full-suspension mountain bike to tackle the trails, or sign up for a private lesson or group clinic at Mountain Bike School. Experienced instructors offer lessons for kids and adults of all abilities, covering the basics like stance, braking, and cornering, as well as more advanced techniques.
Or explore on your own two feet by going for a hike. Combine a hike with a chairlift ride for an independent adventure or sign up for a guided hiking tour. Deer Valley’s knowledgeable instructors will show you some of the area’s best trails while sharing local history and fascinating ecology.
2. Outdoor Summer Adventure Galore
Summer in Deer Valley is time to get out and explore. Saddle up and go for a mid-mountain horseback ride, with options ranging from an hour to a day. Or enjoy a chuck wagon hayride and western barbecue dinner.
Head to the water and enjoy stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) on the Snow Park Ponds in the base area. Practice your skills with classes (including SUP yoga), lessons, and demos, or just rent a board and go for a paddle. With no boats or waves and little wind, Deer Valley is the perfect place to learn.
Deer Valley is also a fly-fisher’s paradise with the Provo and Weber Rivers nearby. Orvis Fly Fishing School offers instruction on fly casting, tackle and fly selection, leaders, knots, and fishing techniques.

3. Fine Dining
Foodies will revel in the dining scene at Deer Valley. From fine dining to casual eats, everyone will find plenty of appetizing options.
In the Lodges at Deer Valley, The Brass Tag offers an impressive menu. Start with Utah Tomato Carpaccio or Chilled Utah Corn Soup before indulging in brick oven Pizzettes topped with roasted peppers, heirloom tomato, caramelized onion, housemade ricotta, and shaved pecorino. Or savor a Niman Ranch Bone-In Pork Chop with bourbon glazed roasted peaches, cheddar truffle chive spaetzle, and warm honey-mustard vinaigrette. Or opt for Miso Glazed Verlasso Salmon or a wide variety of other delicious entrees.
Mid-mountain, in Silver Lake Village, head to the Royal Street Café for American and international cuisine for lunch, best enjoyed on the scenic deck. The lunch menu includes a Fresh Dungeness Crab Tower, Deer Valley Turkey Chili, Asian grilled chicken salad, a house-smoked pulled pork sandwich, and plenty of other options, including an extensive gluten-free menu.

4. Concerts at Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater
Summer is the season to sit back and take in the shows at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Several times a week, artists take the stage and perform a wide variety of musical acts. Enjoy performances from the Utah Symphony, Park City Institute’s St. Regis Big Stars Bright Nights, and many others, including both big names and local stars. Concerts are held rain or shine, and snacks and picnic items are available at the Deer Valley Grocery ~ Café.
5. Great Lodging Packages
Now that you want to stay even longer, it’s good to know that the longer you stay, the more you save. The “Stay Longer, Save More Promotion” provides the seventh night for free after booking six nights. Additional free nights are earned by booking longer stays.
